Polish harpist Klara Wośkowiak is already an accomplished harpist, a laureate of numerous European competitions, and one of the most prominent harpists of her generation.

She currently holds a position of a solo harpist with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra. She won it after completing two years of Orchestral Academy at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich during the years 2015 - 2017. She has also recently completed her Master studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne with Letizia Belmondo.

Klara has completed her bachelor programme with first class honours and the Renata Scheffel-Stein Harp Prize at the Royal Academy of Music in London in Karen Vaughan’s class. During the academic year 2012/2013 she was an exchange student in the class of Isabelle Moretti and Geneviève Létang at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. During this time she was also Germaine Lorenzini’s student in Lyon, France. Prior to her higher education she was a student in Bielsko-Biała Music School in Ewa Jaślar's harp class.

In the course of her career as a harpist, Klara has been recognised and won numerous awards at several competitions. These include 1st prize at the Camac Harp Competition in London in 2014, as well as at the 3rd International Harp Competition of the Harpist Association of Slovenia in 2013, where she also won a special prize: Young Celebrity Master position at Harp Masters Academy in 2015. She was awarded the 3rd prize at the International Harp Competition in Saluzzo, Italy in 2015. In 2008 Klara won the 1st prize in the National Harp Auditions in Warsaw (Poland) followed by the Grand Prix and the 1st prize in the premiere composition's category in the National Competition of Duets with Harp in Cieszyn (Poland) in 2009. She has also won prizes in competitions in Cagliari (Italy), London (England), Krasiczyn (Poland) and Wroclaw (Poland).  She was awarded the scholarship of the „Open Academy of Agrafka Muzyczna” three times and the Polish Ministry of Culture scholarship. In July 2014 she was selected to perform during the 12th World Harp Congress in Sydney, Australia.

Klara is a passionate orchestral musician. She regularly works with orchestras such as Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Tonhalle Orchester in Zurich, Zurich Opera House, and Munich Symphony Orchestra. She took part in the opera project with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester under the baton of Kent Nagano.

She played several projects with the Bern Symphony Orchestra as a Praktikant. She has also taken part in workshops and performances with conductors such as:

Sir Colin Davis, Daniele Callegari, Vladimir Jurowski, Zubin Mehta, Kirill Petrenko. In addition, Klara has performed with the Verbier Festival Music Camp Orchestra, Yeodo Youth Symphony Orchestra from South Korea during their European tour, Polish-German Youth Philharmonic of Lower Silesia, Polish Youth Philharmonic and many others.

 

In addition to her orchestral projects, Klara teaches privately in Geneva where she is based, and is also often invited as a guest teacher around Europe. She has given masterclasses in Switzerland, France and Poland. In summer 2017 she was a tutor at MyHarp Summer Masterclasses in Radziejowice, Poland and in March 2015 was invited to give a recital and masterclasses during the 2nd Harp Days in Kraków (Poland) organized by Camac Harps France.
